  • Died in 2009 at the age of 400 years
  • Currently, the widest beech is in Boučí – circumference 700 cm
  • Beech wood is used for parquet floors and bentwood furniture; we used it for the floor of the suspended walkway

Mountain Ash Eucalyptus

  • Tasmania – Centurion – the tallest deciduous tree – 100.5 m
  • Tree diameter – 4.05 m
  • Circumference 12 m and volume 268 m³
  • Grows very fast, reaching up to 65 m in 50 years
  • Some species have a colorful trunk after peeling – Rainbow tree

Fingered Baobab

  • South Africa – The widest baobab is from Glencoe – 15.9 m
  • Circumference up to 47 m
  • Its massive trunk is spongy and can store up to 120,000 liters of water
  • Fruits contain up to 50% more calcium than spinach
  • The baobab does not have growth rings
  • It can live up to 2,000 years
