Valaška Trail

  • A view reaching up to 100 kilometers across three countries: Czechia, Poland, and Slovakia
  • The trail is made from glued beams with a wooden spruce walkway 80 mm thick
  • The trail is supported by wooden columns with a diameter of up to 400 mm
  • The height of the forest trail at its highest point from the ground is 15.2 m
  • To achieve a gentle slope, a so-called “turnaround” was created
  • The height of the trail at the highest point of the “turnaround” is about 9.7 m
  • The total length of all used wooden profiles is 15,935 m
  • The number of screws, bolts, and other joints is around 21,000 pieces
  • The length of drilled micropiles is 1,120 m
  • A total of 555 cubic meters of wood was used
  • For the tower alone, workers used about 250 cubic meters of wood and 2 tons of glue
  • The entire trail contains 140 tons of steel in various connecting components
  • The trail is barrier-free — the slope ranges from 2 to 8%
  • The trail’s load capacity is 500 kg/m²
  • In the center of the tower, there is an emergency steel spiral staircase
  • The trail includes resting platforms with benches, covering an area of about 250 m²
